How to book your service

You’ll be taken to our booking page

Select your service

Choose an appointment from the available days shown–
appointments book up quickly (usually a month in advance). All appointments are on a first-come, first-serve basis, so we recommend booking your service asap!

If you are unable to make your appointment, please contact us at 317-455-6299 or stephanie@midwestbrows.com. Our staff are paid by appointment, and so, if you don’t show, they lose income. By letting us know in advance, we can try to fill your spot and rebook your treatment at a date/time that works for you.

*A 6-Week Touch-Up is essential to finishing the process and providing the best results.

FAQs

Microblading is one of our most popular services– these are the questions clients ask us most about this procedure. If you have any other questions, please reach out and we’ll be happy to help!

Microblading is for those who want to wake up with effortless brows. After microblading, you won’t need to worry about applying make-up or drawing on your brows every morning.

Those who experience eyebrow hair loss, or aren’t satisfied with the thickness of their brows, will also benefit from microblading.

Once you book online, you will receive a confirmation email with consent forms and pre/post-care instructions. Please review them and bring your signed consent form to your appointment.

DO NOT drink alcohol or take blood thinners (aspirin, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, etc) 24-48 hours before your appointment.

DO NOT abruptly stop taking any medications without 1st consulting your doctor.

NO caffeine the morning of your appointment!

Avoid any fillers like botox/Juvederm for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your appointment.

Avoid any facials with microderms or chemical peels for 2 weeks before your appointment.

If you are unsure, please contact us to discuss if you are ok to proceed with the procedure.

Failure to follow pre/post-care instructions may result in pigment not retaining, unsatisfactory results, or the need for an additional treatment at extra cost.

The touch-up service ensures we can target any areas that didn’t retain color during the first treatment. It is also an opportunity for our specialists to ensure you’re healing with no potential future issues.

Failure to attend your touch-up will lead to unsatisfactory results and could cause issues for future treatments.

Although rare, there are some individuals who will need a 3rd touch-up to achieve their desired outcome/darkness/ thickness. These are clients who have oily/ sensitive skin, are resistant to the treatment, or did not properly follow pre/ post-care.

*There will be an additional charge for your 3rd appointment.

PMU (permanent makeup) is considered a form of tattooing, however, the ink is deposited more superficially which allows for a soft look that fades over time. Although it is called permanent, the color will fade over time and will require you to come back every 1-3 years for a boost to refresh the color or it’s possible to completely fade over time.

Midwest Brow & Beauty’s owner is a registered nurse with 15 years of experience. Numbing is used throughout the process and any discomfort is minor compared to a mild sunburn. Some clients fall asleep! Fine-line tattoos can be uncomfortable but most clients say they are less painful than traditional tattoos. We use a secondary numbing, if needed, to help comfort level.

Usually about 90 min.

Bring photos to your appt to show your artist. Your artist will use mapping techniques to enhance your unique look without overpowering it. We always start conservative and build up at your touch-up appt where we can add quite a bit more boldness, if desired, or adjust color/shape or any areas that didn’t take as well. We customize each look and have hundreds of color options

Brows= 2 weeks, Eyeliner= 1 week, Lips 5-7 days but no downtime. You can return to work immediately after.

While we don’t perform a consultation prior to your appt, we start every appointment with a full consultation to determine your goals and discuss your appt before we begin. If you are unsure if a service is a good fit for you, email stephanie@midwestbrows.com or call 317-455-6299. We always use mapping procedures and custom color matches.

For every service, we will send you home with aftercare instructions and a kit with the best quality products. We include a gentle cleanser and healing balm and will instruct you on how to best care for your investment. You can expect up to 2 weeks of healing and following post-care rules that include not submerging the area in water and avoiding heavy sweating.

We pride ourselves on the strictest safety/sanitation practices. While your artist does not need to hold specific licensing to perform permanent makeup services in Indiana, MBB only hires licensed estheticians and they receive education from our registered nurse. When choosing your tattoo or PMU artist, they should be using sterile, 1 time use needles and use an EPA-registered disinfectant to sanitize their work area before and after each service. According to CDC, permanent makeup services are safe when the technician is blood bourne pathogens certified and follows all OSHA guidelines. We also receive annual health inspections by our county heath department and have to pass to operate.

PMU and tattoo pigments/ink are approved by the FDA.

Brows=Most of our clients come back every 1-2 years for a boost,
Lips=18months to 2 years before needing a boost, Eyeliner=2-3 years.

All permanent makeup services require a touch-up to build up color slowly and to be sure we don’t do too much/too soon. Touch-ups are $50. Brow touch-ups are done 8-10 weeks after the initial appt. Lips 4-6 weeks after. Eyeliner 6-8 weeks after. Then every few years, book a color boost (not a touch-up) to refresh.

No matter the style you end up scheduling, your artist will discuss the best option for you prior to starting. Classic is the most natural look, giving length and definition by adding 1 individual lash to each lash. Volume is the most glam look that gives you the fluffiest, most dramatic, and full option. Hybrid is a mix of the 2! Lashes need a fill every 2-3 weeks to replace the lashes that naturally shed and fill them back out. Lashes shed 1-5 a day and each eye has approximately 150 lashes. A fill must be done in 21 days or less and you should have 50% of your lashes left to be considered a fill or it will be considered a full set and will be charged as such.

Make sure there is zero eye makeup or oily products on the lashes/eyelid. Shower before you come since you can’t get your lashes wet for 24 hours. Dress comfortably and bring headphones if you’d like. A full set of lashes takes about 2 hours. Fills take about 1 hour!

Make sure to eat/drink before appt. It’s important to have good nutrition prior to tattooing to avoid a drop in blood sugar. Dress comfortably/with loose clothing. Be sure the area you’re wanting to be tattooed is easy to expose (we also have drapes if needed). Moisturize your skin the week ahead of your appt. Bring headphones to distract yourself. Make sure you have emailed your design a minimum of 3 days before your tattoo to stephanie@midwestbrows.com or rileigh@midwestbrows.com depending on who you booked with. Bring only 1 guest, no children. Must be over 18. Bring your ID/ driver’s license. Cannot be pregnant for tattoos or pmu.

We understand guests may find comfort in having friends or family as support. For this reason, we allow 1 guest with you but it is important the guest stay in a designated area that the artist suggests. Hovering around the bed or over the artist’s work will not be allowed. It is important your artist has no distractions. We have a strict no-children policy.

For liability/safety reasons, children are not allowed in the spa. If you arrive at your appointment with children you will be asked to reschedule and will lose your deposit.

We require 48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel an appt. While deposits are nonrefundable, if you give 48 hours’ notice or more, your deposit will be transferred to the rescheduled appt. When giving less than 48 hours’ notice, the deposit is forfeited and goes to compensate the artist for their time as it is difficult to fill a spot on short notice.

Once you book your appt, a text/email will be sent to you with a lot of important info. It is so important to read and follow the instructions for the best results. No alcohol for 48 hours or more prior to your appt and no caffeine 24 hours before. No working out/sweating x 14 days and no underwater activities. More detailed info will be sent prior to your appt and discussed during your appt.
